EVJudge Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 12, 2026

EVJudge (evjudge.com and the EVJudge mobile apps) is a gas-vs-EV cost calculator built by an independent developer. The short version: there are no accounts, your calculator data never leaves your device, and we don't sell data — we have almost none to sell. The details follow.

What we don't collect

Location (state detection)

The app can optionally use your device's location once, at low accuracy, purely to pre-select your U.S. state (for electricity and gas prices, EV fees, and climate weighting). The lookup happens entirely on your device: coordinates are matched against a bundled state map and are never transmitted, stored, or logged. You can decline the permission and pick your state manually — nothing else changes.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4, only with your consent)

The website may use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage — how many people visit, which pages they view, roughly which country they come from. What that means in practice:

Feedback form

If you use the Suggest a feature page to send us feedback, the message you write (and your email address, only if you choose to add one for a reply) is processed by Web3Forms, a third-party form backend acting as our processor, which delivers it to the developer by email. Nothing else is collected — no account, no other fields — and we use what you send only to read and act on your feedback. If you don't use the form, none of this applies.

Outbound links

If you compare against a Tesla, the app shows the developer's personal Tesla referral link (clearly disclosed next to the link). If you follow it, you are on Tesla's site under Tesla's privacy policy; we receive nothing about your visit there. The same applies to any source links (government data, etc.) opened from the app.

We don't sell data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal information with third parties for their own purposes. The only third parties involved at all are Google Analytics (as described above, and only with your consent) and, if you choose to send feedback, Web3Forms — both act solely as our processors.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA and friends)

Because everything meaningful lives on your device, you are already in control of it:

Children

EVJudge is a car-cost tool, not directed at children under 13, and collects no personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Material changes (e.g. adding any new data collection) will be called out prominently on this page.
